No me gusta homework.

 Sorry! >.< I haven’t been able to do much since school started… getting used to high school is pretty hard :3 I’m slowly getting used to it, though… sort of. It’s just homework, homework, homework! D: next semester might be more brutal, with my honors classes ;_;

Let’s see.. so far, my 2011 New Years resolution of being on deviantART more often failed epically. So did tending to this blog. (I missed its anniversary.. again *derp*) I want to add it to the 2012 resolutions list.. hopefully it can be fulfilled. orz (I haven’t been on deviantART in so long… I need to scan a ton of stuff.) I feel bad, but when I have free time I usually want to spend it on reading ;A; Or simply doing nothing and listening to music, after stressful days. So, yeah… and now I should make new banners here, huh.. why does time pass so fast??

So, recently.. hmm. I started collecting the Sailor Moon reprints. I’m expecting a Cardcaptor Sakura DVD for Christmas (containing all 72 episodes plus the 2 movies) but I don’t know if it’ll be here in time. (Now I can squee over blushy Syaoran on a bigger screen.~) I have realized my inner fangirl..

I’m sure I was looked at strangely when I looked my new U-KISS Neverland CD and was all “kyaa” over Kiseop <3 U-KISS is a (South) Korean boy band. I just found out about them recently, but I love them <3 I already have their 2nd album, “Neverland” along with the poster >w< And I saw that they may debut in the U.S. next year!! Sadly, it’ll most likely be a big city i’m super-far away from, as always. Dammit… Anyways, there are currently 7 members, and I love ‘em all But, to be honest, Kiseop is my favorite! He’s so hot and adorable!! (Well, all of them are, hehe)I wish I could meet U-KISS Only but a dream… hopefully for now, anyways

I’ll post a picture of the CD and poster, which I should measure so I can frame it ;D hehe, in another post. I feel to lazy to do it now…plus, it’s starting to get later and my horrible posture is starting to hurt my back now.

As for anime,I’m watching quite a few of the Autumn 2011 titles, like Chihayafuru, Tamayura ~hitotose~, Shinryaku!? Ika Musume, Kimi to Boku, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, and et cetera. I’m anticipating the Winter 2012 animeseason… can’t wait It’s hard for me to believe it’s been a year already… so much has happened. I feel kinda.. scared. 0_0; but, everything should be okay. I’m trying to be as positive as I can XD

I shall see you again the next post! >w<b I want to do a whole lot when winter break starts in exactly 7 days. I hope to accomplish some things while I have the time, and also to help make the long week before Christmas pass quickly I can’t wait. It’s sad how Christmas is a long wait and then it’s gone in a flash.

I’m enjoying my last bit of freedom before I start high school next week.  It’s still kinda unbelievable for me, that I’m a freshman >.<

Well, I’ve recently been trying to make as many banners as I can for now so I don’t have to make any for a while. =w= But it takes so long for me to make them due to my poor skills. ;_; I’m trying to brush up on my Photoshop skills so I can get better at both editing and drawing digital/pixel pictures. (I still can’t tell the difference…sort of…)

My summer has mostly consisted of watching anime, sitting in front of an electronic screen, or reading manga. I’ve drawn a little (not as much as I think I should have) as well. I’m still planning ideas to add to this blog so I can be with it more often. It’ll be 2 next month~ wut. I’m going to do manga reviews, but still not sure with anime. Making my own screenshots takes up a lot of time. Heck, even making my headers for this blog takes forever. I would like to get more on anime since this blog’s name is “Sweet Taste of Anime”. It only makes sense. =w= (But does manga really fall under anime? I don’t think so)

I’ve been interested in trying to get anime video games. I might get Trinity Universe to play on our shared PS3. I wish a lot more were translated into English, especially since the DSi is region locked (I heard, anyways). It would be so cool to be able to play games like Shugo Chara and Nanatsuiro Drops~ I hope to learn Japanese soon. In fact, I recently got “My Japanese Coach” for the DS. It’s really helpful.~ Well, it’s pretty simple vocabulary now for me, but I’ll improve as I advance further in the game. As of now, my rank is “Toddler”. >3< I have trouble with kanji, which will probably take a while for me to get the hang of. I really want to start collecting figures like Nendoroids and such, but I don’t know when >.< They’re so expensive, and by myself I can’t afford them yet. =w=;

This season for anime, I’ve pretty much gotten all caught up, for once Well, almost. I’m still behind on a few. Last week I barely got on a computer at all, so I had a lot to catch up on. Plus, some new ones just came out. @_@ Ah, so much for me to do in so little time.~ That’s one of my problems, not wanting to do anything when I have the time but when I do want to do something my time is limited. Anyway, I’m currently watching about 17 series, and over 15 I would still like to watch (including the ones coming up in the Autumn 2011 anime season. *sigh*). As for manga, I’ve done pretty okay. In terms of collecting, I need to work on finishing older series I started. I met one of my summer goals, finishing my collection of Full Moon o Sagashite. I’ll have to finish what Tokyopop left of Alice in the Country of Hearts (only needed one last volume to finish ;^; *sob*) by the end of this year, before it becomes out of print. I’ll end up finishing the main Shugo Chara! series next month, with volume 12 coming out the 6th. I’ll collect Shugo Chara Chan! as well, but I still don’t know how I’m going to fit any more books, especially since I *plan* on getting Sailor Moon, Codename: Sailor V, and possibly the Tokyo Mew Mew Omnibus versions. I still need to finish/catch up to collecting big collections, like Vampire Knight (why did I choose to start collecting it now) and Fruits Basket. I was depending on the Ultimate Editions for Fruits Basket, but now that’s impossible. ;_; I hate how Tokyopop went under…especially how I was so looking forward to reading more of Pavane for a Dead Girl since the scanalations haven’t gone past chapter 5 in ages. And of course, Tokyopop only had the chance to publish volume 1. ;_; I’m hoping another publisher will pick some works back up, but I highly doubt it, since nothing has been announced for quite a while. We can only hope.

Vocaloid is steadily increasing, too >w< A variety of Vocaloid3 are coming out in the fall~ They include Aoki Lapis, part of  “i-style Project”, and a currently unnamed Korean Vocaloid3 whose voice will be based off Kim Tahi, a part of the K-Pop band Glam. There’s more, like Ring Suzune and Lui Hibiki, but I’m not sure if their voicebanks are being released in fall as well or not. (Most likely yes) The English Miku is also in process and so is the Kaito Append, to be released sometime this year, I think. I’m happy that Vocaloid is getting more and more popular! >w< If you’re a big fan of Vocaloid too, Vocaloidism is the blog for you. Apparently, voice auditions are being held for the voice of Aoki! I wouldn’t audition though, as I’m not too confident about my voice :^D Anyways, the Vocaloid3′s seem like they’ll be awesome~ Eri Kitamura (kyaa) will be voicing CUL, or VY1 (I think), who previously didn’t have her own voice.

Well, I guess this is enough of my ramblings… =w= I have to get back to other things. I have to catch up to the latest episodes, make banners, prepare for school and try to draw some pictures for deviantART as well. I have to make a new ID and I want to draw some pictures, since I feel bad for not drawing any on there since the middle of May. So, I already failed my New Year’s resolution -_-||| I plan on scanning a few drawings I did this summer, though. If I can’t do it in the 4 full days I have left of summer, I can try over the weekend, since my schoolweek will only last 2 days for my first week of school (weird). Maybe I can do a review later on? :3 If I have time left over. So, until next time~~

It’s been a long time (a little over a year) since I last did one of these. As a reminder, I usually pick shojo titles, from Ribon and Nakayoshi in Japan and Kodansha Comics and Shojo Beat in America. Or other publishers…I just do shojo, more so the ones I’m interested in :^D Not all of these have pictures yet. I’ll go back and edit them when they do. Or just make a new post. These are the manga (and a few small things) I got over the two weeks I’ve been at my Grandmother’s. (Wow…actually thinking about it) I usually get decent amounts while I’m here. I don’t expect to get everything I want, and am very grateful for them~ (But now my bookshelf has less room ^^; It already did before the summer…) I don’t really expect to get anything else, but may try to get the Full Moon art book and Sakura Hime 3 (which doesn’t come out until August 2nd anyway) and call it a day(?). I might as well at least start a Christmas list.

Okay, concerning the actual books, it was my goal to finish the Full Moon collection for the summer. I’m glad I met it~~ I started it in February 2009 (yes, I record when I get a book ^_^; I like doing that) with volume 2 since at the time no other volumes were present.  I kinda then neglected the collection as I moved on to other series until a couple months ago…I think May, getting volume 1. I promised myself that I would just wait to read it rather than scans. I have a bad habit of going on a spree and reading a whole lot…like I accidentally ended up reading all of Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross on the internet, and all of Sakura Hime volume 2 before I got it… ^^; So I wanted to “keep myself in suspense”. Same with Sakura Hime…after rushing through volume 2 I promised not to read any of volume 3! (Although I was so tempted to read its first chapter, which is chapter 7 I think) I’m doing the same with Cardcaptor Sakura and waiting for the omnibus versions….although I already finished the anime >3< I know there’s a difference, but still. And as for Shugo Chara!, I had wanted it. :3 I can’t believe I’ll be finishing it (hopefully) this year when I first started collecting the books near the end of 5th grade. And now I’m a freshman. xD I read it already on the internet, but still.

Anyways, about the other things around the books… the Hello Kitty plush and the pink Hello Kitty keychain are the extra things I got at the bookstore yesterday (as I’m typing this..my actual time on wordpress is different, so doesn’t match with me, I need to fix it to my correct time zone. Either way, the 14th) with Full Moon 5-7 and Shugo Chara! 11.  Those food items are erasers, Crazerasers brand, I also got the 14th. I like them, they’re so cool I’m gonna collect the cute ones, rather than using them as actual erasers.~

This is the end for this post….oh, this is completely random, but I love Selena Gomez’s song, “Love You Like a Love Song”~ I wish I could animate so badly. (wut) But I have to really improve on drawing guys so people stop accusing me of drawing yuri ;_; I’m sorry…I can’t help it if my guys look like girls TT^TT I need practice… =3= One of my summer goals was to start a manga I began thinking up of…but I might just scratch that. I don’t want to start working on it until I know I’ll finish it. Which is hard, because I’ve never finished a manga I started. Unless I make this blank book I have into one of those oneshot mangas…

Well, I have left again and not touched this blog… =w=; (And obviously I never finished that HanaSaku post.) But summer is almost here! For me, anyway. Most people are already out. I have Monday and Tuesday.

So, a little about myself.

I’ll be “graduating” junior high on Tuesday. I can’t believe I’ll be a high school freshman in the fall. I got my hair done all nicely yesterday, but I don’t know how I’ll keep it until Tuesday. I already looked at it and obviously it’s not as nice, since I slept. Hopefully I’ll be able to recreate it and keep it for the rest of these three days. (Ugh…)

Anyway. I’ve recently gotten into Sakura Hime Kaden. =w= I got the first licensed volume on Wednesday. Although I promised myself I’d wait patiently until the volumes came out rather than reading ahead (of what’s there anyway) online, I still couldn’t wait and read chapters 4-7. *shot* But after that, I’ll wait!! >w

My anime list is still pretty big. I have so many I want to start and quite a few to finish. Plus, the new season titles will be appearing shortly, and I saw a few I’d like to try. So, again, I’m stuck with a whole bunch of anime.  Sigh -A-

As fr the future of this blog, I don’t know. I’ll get to it this summer, but I’m not sure what I’ll do. Anime posts take too long for me. I could try first impressions but I’m not sure since making personal screencaps takes so long. Maybe manga reviews don’t sound to bad, but I don’t know what to do them on. *hmm* I would make a poll, but we’ll see. I just really want to get back to here~~ This blog will be two years old this September without major accomplishments! >o

Y U NO UPDATE BLOG

Well, I know not that many people read it anyway. For 1- I’m lazy. 2- I can procrastinate. 3- Sometimes I really don’t have the time. Well, this is a short pre-post because I have assignments to do. Plus, I need to redesign the blog for spring.Spring 2011 anime’s already here…I’m not going to bother attempting to post wrap-ups and watchlists anymore. -A- I don’t have the time anymore. Even though one of my resolutions was to get back to this blog more often. *hides away*

I’m sure some of you know that SAILOR MOON HAS BEEN RE-LICENSED!! I’m so happy that I get a chance to get it since I never got to before (as I was too young and didn’t start my actual anime fandom back then) It has the covers of the beautiful re-releases ( looked at Amazon Japan and loved them), and I’m excited!! Kondasha USA releases this on September 13th of this year. (Volume 2 November 15th) Along with this Kodansha USA also licensed Shugo Chara Chan!, the 4-koma comics by various mangaka. That comes out sometime in November.  Volume 10 of the regular  Shugo Chara! comes out very soon, on May 10th. Volume 11 is scheduled for July 12, and volume 12 comes out sometime in September, with no official date yet. I’m glad that they’re coming through pretty quickly. There’s still nothing on Fairy Navigator Runa… *sobs* Oh, and they’re also releasing Tokyo Mew Mew omnibus volumes, with the first one containing volumes 1 and 2. This would be nice to have, but I’ve already collected the first Tokyopop editions, and don’t feel like buying them again (despite my desire) just for new translation and  look. *dies a little inside* This comes out in September. Other things include Love Hina omnibus, but I’m not interested in much else. *die hard shojo fan* I’m really hoping for more new shojo licenses. I really want manga like Momo licensed, but I’d like that done by Shojo Beat. Speaking of them, they haven’t updated their site in a while, and their release date pages was “not found” the last time I checked. ;A; Dangit. And oh- Arisa. Volume 2 comes out May 17th, and volume 3 July 12, 2011. I just hope that in the future the licensing opportunities will get better. I know some people don’t like licensed manga, but I love holding books in my hand, which is why I don’t have or have the desire to get a “Kindle”, or anything related to those “eBooks”. Plus, these are what made, and are still making, bookstores out of business. A lot of Borders got closed, and I’m fearing for others. I know that books won’t ever be replaced by technology (like they won’t ban them) but still. Back to licenses, I would just like more. And have them by good companies. I wasn’t too fond of Tokyopop before, but for their newer series they have a gorgeous (sorta) new layout and actually translate sound effects. (I like sound effects translated, because without it sometimes you don’t know what could be going on) I prefer Shojo Beat for Ribon manga…not sure why. I would like to see Yumeiro Patissiere by them. I also want Watashi ni xx Shinasai…well, I could go all day on this license wishlist, I might as well create a page for it. xD Moving on, I’m sure everyone’s heard about the earthquake in Japan. Please everyone, support them as much as you can and keep them in your prayers. This reminds me of the Haiti earthquake.

It’s almost my birthday *A* I’m getting older… and high school is getting so close…. I’m awaiting for my manga to come >w< After I get my birthday manga (I know I got at least some since it’s practically all my list) I’m taking a new picture of my bookshelf. My bookshelf has a line-thingy down the middle so I’m not sure how the picture will be taken yet… I’ll have to do it shelf-by-shelf and at different angles, then do a full-view. Ah, I want to get more manga magazines and get original Japanese figurines, posters, artbooks (English if available but rare) and manga. *sigh* eBay is just out of the question.

Oh! Michiyo Kikuta’s starting a nekomimi mahou shojo series next month, レイヤー×レイアー!!! (She’s one of my favorite mangaka’s) With my loose translation it is “Reise x Reia” which technically is “Leise x Leia” with the Japanese r’s to l’s. (The romanji) I looked on her blog and the protagonist’s name is Leia. “Leise” apparently means layer (according to google translate). So “Layer x Leia”? Sounds like “Leia” would be a Japanese pronunciation of layer. Here’s a preview picture of her from Nakayoshi’s website (the nekomimi in pink and white).

I would post Kikuta’s preview picture that she posted at the intro of her blog, but I’m not sure if that’s still violating copyrights (probably) so I won’t.

Well, I’ve posted enough for now….I have to get back to this assignment so it’s over with. Plus, I still wanted to do other things after finishing school related things. (I still have to study too…ugh) So, I won’t be able to get back to working on this blog for a bit. But I’ll try before the weekend is over.
